Reverend Bizarre
REVEREND BIZARRE – DOOM OVER THE UK
3 PURE DOOM CLASSICS RELEASED IN THE UK FOR THE FIRST TIME ON APRIL 27th 2009
“If Reverend Bizarre was still alive, I’d probably be dead” – Albert Witchfinder
FOLLOWING LAST yea’s re-issue of the Crush The Insects album on Spinefarm Records UK, the Darker Forces Of Doom have decreed that it’s time for further titles from the Reverend Bizarre catalogue to be made available in the UK.
The records in question are:-
In The Rectory Of The Bizarre Reverend album
(Remastered 2-CD edition; single CD version originally released in 2002)
Harbinger Of Metal EP
(originally released in 2003)
III: So Long Suckers album
(2-CD set, originally released in 2007)
RB may no longer be a going concern (hence the So Long Suckers title!), but the reputation of the band continues to grow, with the Death Is Glory Now! compilation – released in January of this year on the Spinefarm UK label – rounding up some of those tracks that had only previously appeared on vinyl.
RB, of course, was very much fuelled by the creative fire of Albert Witchfinder, a unique individual whose view of the world is currently being explored via The Puritan – an admired, suffocatingly heavy project with a debut CD (Lithium Gates) now on release via Spinefarm UK.
