HELSINKI VAMPIRES RETURN TO THE UK
HELSINKI VAMPIRES THE 69 EYES have confirmed their return to the UK. The band, who released their latest album “Back In Blood” in August will take in four shows on March 2010. Frontman Jyrki 69 checked in to tell us:
“After showing to the Americans some good times for Halloween in the name of our new album “Back In Blood”, it's very welcoming to do the same on the Old Continent! Since Dracula arrived to Whitby, Andrew Eldrich re-invented the sunglasses in Leeds and Hanoi Rocks made London a place for sleaze rockers to pilgrimage, UK has a great importance for The 69 Eyes. We have a fantastic hardcore following there, every time we play there, it's like one of those rock'n'roll dreams coming true again. We're proud to represent our new album live, UK vampires know how to rock!!!”

UK prog masters THRESHOLD are about to hit the road. Make sure to catch them on one of the dates below.
“It's great to be racing across Europe one more time before we start work on the new album” commented Threshold keyboard player Richard West.
“It's going to be an epic set! Alongside our usual suspects such as Slipstream and Pilot In The Sky Of Dreams we're planning to add a lot of long tracks which don't often get played like Consume To Live, The Whispering and The Art Of Reason. What's more we'll be adding some songs we've NEVER played live before such as Fighting For Breath and our 13 minute epic Critical Mass (part 1-3). We'll also be performing a previously unreleased song from our new fan club album that will be on sale at the shows. We just can't wait to get out there again!”
Supporting Threshold are two of Europe's finest progressive metal bands, Serenity from Austria and Spheric Universe Experience from France *.

GOTTHARD INVITED TO THE VATICAN
Swiss Rockers GOTTHARD will visit the holy halls of the Vatican before playing Rome later this week. The group has been invited by The Swiss Guards to come and have a look in the Pope´s home.
With the successful album “Need To Believe” GOTTHARD have spread the belief in true Rock music – now the musicians are going to the place that symbolises belief more than anywhere else in the world. The visit will take place on the first day of the tour: On October, 23rd, GOTTHARD, who have just returned from a show in Japan, will start their two months lasting European tour in Rome. Before going on stage for the first time on this tour, the Swiss gentlemen will meet up with Swiss Guards in the Vatican – a more than impressive start for a tour that offers a lot of exciting moments – including the German shows with EUROPE (“The Final Countdown”) as a special guest as well as the French shows with DEEP PURPLE as a headliner.

FOUR MORE ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR BLOODSTOCK 2010
* LEAVES EYES EXCLUSIVE UK SHOW *
* SUFFOCATION EXCLUSIVE UK FESTIVAL APPEARANCE *
* METAL GODDESS DORO JOINS LINE UP *
* DREAM EVIL TO OPEN THE FESTIVAL *
With most of the UK¹s 2010 festivals yet to announce any acts, next year¹s
BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR is off to a great head start with 10 stellar acts
already announced, including the latest four bands to be added to the
already impressive line up.
First up, it¹s an honour to confirm that Swedish Metal masters DREAM EVIL
will be kicking off the proceedings at BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR 2010, with the
first slot of the festival. With their catchy, anthemic and powerful brand
of Heavy Metal, we can¹t think of a more fun way to get the party started.
Bassist Pete Pain is looking forward to the band¹s return:
“It's super nice to come back to play at the festival where we baptised
Dannee Demon as new DREAM EVIL axeman. The memory fragments from Bloodstock
are just positive and we feel great about coming back again in 2010! See you
Symphonic Goth Metallers LEAVES EYES will be flying over to the UK next
August especially for their appearance at BOA 2010. States Frontlady Liv
“The norsemen and women are back on the British Isles! We are looking
forward to perform “Njord” live at Bloodstock Open Air, 2010. This will
surely be a special event for both audience and band as the concept of our
third and latest release is heavily influenced by the Vikings' experience
and influence on British ground in the Middle-Ages.”
Bandmate and co-vocalist/keyboard player Alexander Krull is in agreement:
³It's great that we are able to play Bloodstock next year! Last time it
didn't work out because of our time schedule in the studio, so we are really
looking forward to this show! All our British friends and fans told us to
play Bloodstock which is a really great metal festival! See you all there!”
Bringing the brutality to Bloodstock, Death Metal legends SUFFOCATION will
be joining the line up for an exclusive UK festival appearance – your only
chance to see them outdoors in the UK in 2010. Their first UK festival
appearance, the band¹s back catalogue of Death Metal classic such as
Infecting The Crypts, Effigy Of The Forgotten and Pierced From Within means
fans of the more extreme end of metal are in for a treat.
Last – but in no way least – German Metal Goddess DORO will be performing at
BLOODSTOCK¹s 10th Anniversary. The feisty frontwoman will lead her band
through a thunderous set, which is bound to include some old WARLOCK numbers
such as ³Hellbound² and the classic ³All We Are² in tribute to her former

GOTTHARD – Premiere of the new clip “Unconditional Faith”
Tonight, October, 16th, the brand new GOTTHARD clip “Unconditional Faith” will premiere at 18:00 GMT.
The clip to the song, that can be heard in the movies from around Easter 2010 on along with the film “Max Schmeling”, was shot in Zagreb this summer. It shows, next to a band performance recorded in the filmset´s boxing ring, excerpts from the movie in which box champion Henry Maske plays the main role Max Schmeling. For Maske who has taken acting lessons for this role, “Max Schmeling” is the first experience in being an actor – for GOTTHARD “Unconditional Faith” is the first clip that is based on a movie storyboard.
ABGOTT CONFIRMED AS MAIN SUPPORT FOR THE TAIWANESE METALLERS’ HALLOWEEN SHOW IN LONDON…
CHTHONIC’s FIRST ever headline show in the UK has now become even more special with the addition of London-based Anglo-Italian black metallers Abgott as main support.
The show is set to take place at the Relentless Garage in North London on October 31st, following on from the release of Chthonic’s latest studio album, ‘Mirror Of Retribution’, issued over here via Spinefarm Records UK.
Abgott, who recently performed at the Bloodstock Festival and are now confirmed to appear at Hellfire Fest II in November, have commented:-
“Bring your pumpkins and we will provide the trick or treat!”
An opening act will also be added to the bill. More details soon….
ROBB FLYNN FROM MACHINE HEAD BOLDLY GOES WHERE MESHUGGAH, THE PET SHOP BOYS AND OTHERS HAVE GONE BEFORE…
IT HAS been confirmed that the iTunes version of the new/sixth Rammstein studio album, ‘Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da’, set for release in the UK on October 19th via Spinefarm Records UK, will contain an exclusive Remix of the track “Rammlied” handled by Robb Flynn, guitarist/vocalist with US heavyweights Machine Head.
In the past, Rammstein have had songs Remixed by a whole variety of artists, ranging from Laibach, Meshuggah & Alec Empire right through to the Pet Shop Boys, Vince Clarke & Junkie XL!
It is quite rare for Rammstein to take on Remix projects for other artists, although drummer Christoph Schneider did rework a Rob Zombie track for the ‘American Made Music To Strip By’ album (1999).
Rammstein have confirmed three UK arena shows for February 2010, with a second single – the follow-up to current outing ‘Pussy’ – looking likely for early December of this year.

TED MAUL & THE DEFILED – UK METALLERS KICK OFF UK TOUR THIS FRIDAY 16th OCTOBER
London drum’n’bass anti-life metallers TED MAUL and noisy neighbours THE DEFILED start their UK tour this Friday 16th October. Show closers TED MAUL cryptically stated:
“We have been locked in our laboratory injecting each other with new strains of swine flu preparing for this tour, we’re gonna pump you all full of negative rhythmics”
THE DEFILED sound a little worried:
“I must admit it’s with slight trepidation that we are announcing Ted Maul and The Defiled on one touring bill together!” states bassplayer Drex “From both our track records I’m not sure if either band is going to come out the other side without a fair few casualties. So lock up you daughters (and your medicine cabinets) … however the tour finishes it’s gonna be brutal!”

MNEMIC – last studio blog posted online!
Danish modern metal heroes MNEMIC just posted the last studio update to their official blog – check out the bands report about the mixing/mastering process as well as a few more song titles at www.sonsofthesystem.com
MNEMICs first effort in three years is scheduled for release early 2010 and will represent “a new band” quoted guitarist Mircea Gabriel Eftemie: “This is a new band, with a new album written straight from the heart. It reflects our artistic angle and inspirations which are drawn from steampunk art and sci-fi genres, where the music as we interpret it, is theatrical, electronic and eclectic, forged to sound as the soundtrack to a dystopian future. This is our metal-polyrhythmic version of GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT and MUSE, spiced up by the lethal audio injection you know as, MNEMIC.“
