Arizona rockers THE MAINE return with their third studio album titled ‘Pioneer & The Good Love’. The ‘Pioneer’ release originally came out in the US in December last year and has to date not been available in Europe, the European version – Pioneer & The Good Love – set for release on September 24 via Rude Records – will contain 6 brand new, previously unreleased tracks.
Since the inception of the band in 2007, The Maine have released 2 albums to date, have toured the world with those, and have just announced a full European tour this September (UK dates below).
The creation of “Pioneer & the Good Love” was an enlightening experience for the band. They moved into a farm in Gilbert, Arizona last year to write the songs for the album and came out with the 9 songs, which were turned down by the label. Instead of being disheartened by the initial rejection, the band decided to go back to the studio and record an additional 17 songs. 13 of which were released last year under the moniker ‘Pioneer’ in the US independently on the band’s label, Action Theory Records. The band didn’t stop here, in the following months they worked hard at setting up an international independent network – it’s now finally time for all those 19 songs to see the light of the day with the impending release of ‘Pioneer & the Good Love’ in Europe this September.

TROLLFEST will release their brand new album ‘Brumlebassen’ on August 24, which they´ll perform for the first time ever live in its entirety at METALCAMP festival Slovenia (August 5 – 10).
Now these crazy Norwegians have released their first official video clip for the song ‘TrinkenTroll’, coming off the ‘Brumlebassen’ record.
Watch the clip here:
Commented the band:
“The video was filmed at the Unholy Metal Pub in Oslo and we invited various people – friends, friends of friends – but word got around that we were going to be filming a music video and people just turned up to take part. Everyone really started getting into the swing of things with the entire shoot turning into one big party and inevitably a lot of good natured drunkenness ensued so what you see in the video is not “acting” at all, hehe!”
With artwork by the Swedish cartoonist Jonas Darnell, who originally created the iconic metal duck from TROLLFEST’s ‘Villanden’ album, and design by Terje Johnsen, the 13-track “Brumlebassen” is set for release on NoiseArt Records on August 24 of this year in both limited edition digipack format and gatefold vinyl.
The band are also confirmed to play this year´s edition of HEIDENFEST alongside Wintersun, Korpiklaani and others.
Under The Influence, the 4-piece Rap rockers from Kings Lynn, are due to release their new single, ‘Vs The World’ on Monday, 6th August.
“‘Vs The World’ was the right track to release first, as it is introducing the new ‘US’ and telling people that we are here and never going to go away no matter how hard it gets nothing is going to stop us” comments Under The Influence’s front man, Jack.
He continues by stating, “It’s us making a statement to the music industry, that no matter where you come from or who you are, hard work and determination can pay off for anyone”, and finishes by describing the sound of the new material as “UK hip-hop brought into modern UK rock”.
The music video was filmed by up and coming Director, Daniel Broadley, shot in an abandoned barracks in Norfolk where the lads found themselves working in historic surroundings, creating a derelict look to accompany the bands new darker musical direction.
Check out the video for the track ‘Vs The World’ which is taken from the new ep, ‘Kings & Cretins’, scheduled for release 1st October:
Under The Influence will be playing a release show for the ‘Vs The World’ video in their hometown Kings Lynn on Wednesday, 1st August at Kudos.

That’s right headbangers. After shredding it up in the recording studio (and several bottles of brew later), London’s own hard-rocking, beer swilling axe grinders are premiering their latest ‘Shut up and Drink’ single on the Bloodstock Open Air Website ahead of their August 20th release date.
In collaboration with producer/engineer Phil Kinman (Tank, New Device), the ‘Knights have managed to record a piece of music to celebrate the glory of alcohol. From the heavy bass intro, through the anthemic choruses, to the final thunderous drum hit, ‘SHUT UP AND DRINK’ promises to be like a bottle of Jack – high octane but good to the last drop.
The Death Valley Knights are very excited to play the Sophie Lancaster Stage, Friday August 10th at the UK’s number 1 metal event of the summer and are further pleased to be able to offer thisopportunity for the international metal community to preview their latest single on the Bloodstock Open Air website.

Guitarist Sam Ryder steps up to lead-vocal responsibilities
Band releases new track, “Out of Control”
Glam-rock powerhouse BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART have announced today that vocalist Tony Gambino will be leaving the band for personal reasons. Stepping up to the mic to replace him will be current guitarist Sam Ryder, who brings with him Gambino’s full endorsement.
Gambino has released a video statement explaining his decision, which is excerpted here:
“This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. But I recently decided to leave the touring life so I can stay home with my family. With that said, I have some exciting news – I’m super stoked to announce that Sam Ryder is going to be stepping in as lead vocalist, and I couldn’t be more honored to have anyone else take my spot. Sam is a world class musician and vocalist and I have nothing but confidence in him.”

By filling the “vacant position” of singer from within, the international shred-metal group can ensure fans of a fluid, flawless transition into the next era of BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART’s music. Driving that point home is the release of a previously unheard track, “Out of Control” – featuring vocals from the newly promoted Sam Ryder – that illustrates in no uncertain terms his talent and capability as the band’s new frontman.

“Tony is my best bud,” adds the Essex, UK-based Ryder. “Duty is calling him right now and he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do, but the show must go on. We have some great fans and they should know that I ain’t about to let anyone down! Come bang your heads and sing some rock n’ roll. That’s what this is all about, and believe me – we’re just getting started.”
The launch of this new chapter comes on the heels of the band’s third album, Feel The Power, which was released this January on Tooth and Nail Records. The lauded, high-octane, release is the follow-up to the band’s celebrated 2008 album Pedal to the Metal (Century Media), and finds BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART shrugging off past metalcore trappings in favor of something more heartfelt.
Like any artist with a notable body of work, BLESSED has experienced a near constant evolution over the past eight years, in some part due to lineup changes, but mostly due to a stylistic progression away from pure metalcore in favor of more traditional metal and hard rock. One listen to Feel The Power confirms that not only is this not the same band that recorded All Is Fair, but that that very fact is their saving grace. Staying ahead of the curve and distancing themselves from the pack is the key to BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART‘s longevity, and the reason the new album will resonate with even the most veteran headbangers.

Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie have extended their recently announced co-headlining “Twins of Evil” tour – arguably the most exciting rock tour this year – to take in four arena shows in the UK. Debauchery, theatrics, ghoulish imagery, and a full-on assault on all the senses are what’s in store for fans, as part of a mammoth U.S. and 10-country European tour.
The highly anticipated tour hits the UK on 26th November at London’s O2 Arena, before Manchester Arena, Glasgow SECC and Birmingham NIA, promising defiant rock’n'roll showmanship in the form of these unholy rollers.
“Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It’s happening now,” stated Zombie. “If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this fucking tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming.”
“I have sympathy for the Whore of Babylon that gave birth to these twins of evil, and this abomination of a tour,” says Marilyn Manson. “There is no babysitter, and there is no repairing her womb. If Rob Zombie doesn’t fuck you up, than I surely will.” “Hide all drugs and firearms… I’m coming to town,” Manson stated.
For the “Twins of Evil” tour, Zombie and his band of maniacs - John 5/guitar, Piggy D/bass and drummer Ginger Fish - will bring their elaborate, multi-media production, complete with hair-raising theatrics, animatronic robots, oversized LED screens, a non-stop collage of psychotronic monster film clips, a spectacular light show, a gigantic robot with flames shooting out of its body, pyrotechnics, insane guitar riffs and vicious beats.
The UK shows for the “Twins of Evil” tour are as follows:
26/11 London O2 Arena
27/11 Manchester Arena
28/11 Glasgow SECC
29/11 Birmingham NIA
On August 6, prior to the kick off of the “Twins of Evil” tour, “Mondo Sex Head”, an album featuring new and unique remixes of Rob Zombie classics by some of today’s top DJs, including KoRn’s Jonathan “JDevil” Davis, Photek, the Bloody Beetroots, †††, Kraddy, Drumcorps, and Ki: Theory will be released via Spinefarm/Universal.
Marilyn Manson’s eighth full-length album “Born Villain” is out now on Cooking Vinyl.
